TICKETS

Q. How much is entry to the festival?
A. Adults: £30 for an advance weekend pass
     Children/ NUS: £15 for an advance weekend pass
     Under 12s: FREE ENTRY

Q. How do I buy tickets?
A. Go to the ticket section on the website and click through to ticketmaster.co.uk or bic.co.uk. You can also call or just walk up to the BIC to buy tickets. Tickets are on sale from October 2009.

Q. When will I receive my tickets?
A. All tickets will be sent to you in May 2010.

Q. Do I have to wear a wristband at Bournemouth Sevens?
A. All players and festival-goers will be given a wristband on entering the festival. This wristband gives you access to the event and without one you aren't able to enter the festival. No stamps will be given to players for 2010, all players will be given a wristband that is safe to play in.

Q. Why do I have to wear a wristband?
A. So you can buy drinks, food at the bar and use the facilities provided. If you lose your wristband you will have to buy another one from the box office.


Q. Where do I collect my wristband?
A. You will be given your wristband on entering the festival.

Q. Is there a Box Office at the festival?
A. Tickets are available at the festival, however tickets are cheaper in advance.

Q. I'm playing in the festival, when will my team receive their tickets?
A. Your tickets will be sent to your team captain by recorded delivery 2 weeks before the festival. Without these tickets you can't enter the arena. These tickets will be exchanged for wristbands at the Box Office.

Q. What's the last date I can buy advanced tickets?
A. You can purchase tickets from Ticketmaster and the BIC until Wednesday 26th May 2010. After this date tickets can only be purchased at the festival Box Office between 10am-6pm on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th May 2010. Tickets purchased after Friday 21st May 2010 will not be sent to your home address but can be collected from the festival box office instead.

TRAVEL & PARKING

Q. When should I travel to Bournemouth?
A. The best time to travel is on Friday afternoon- the car park will be open from 3pm on Friday 28th May.

Q. What's the best way to get to Bournemouth?
A. By train, bus or car. Bournemouth is only 1.5 hours from London with direct train links from most major cities.

Q. Is there parking on site?
A. Yes we have onsite parking for cars/coaches- however it will be limited. Cars will only be let into the festival car park if they have 3 or more people in.

Q. How much is car parking?
A. Parking is £3 per car- this is for the whole weekend.

Q. Will it be busy driving to Bournemouth Sports club?
A.Yes the roads will be very busy so it is advised to get there early to have a  hassle free weekend. Make sure you get there on Friday night so you can relax before the main festival arena opens on Saturday.

Q. If I have the option of driving or getting a taxi to the festival, what option should I take?
A. It is recommended to take a taxi to prevent the hassle of parking and not being able to have a drink.

Q. Are there taxis and buses running from Bournemouth Train station to the festival?
A.Yes there will be plenty of taxis and there will be a FREE shuttle bus running from 10am- 4pm on Saturday & Sunday.

Q. Where's the Bournemouth Sevens Festival held?
A. Bournemouth Sevens is at Bournemouth Sports Club, Chapel Gate, East Parley, Christchurch, Dorset, BH23 6BD.

Q. Is there any disabled parking?
A. If you have a blue disabled access badge please show the car parking team on arrival who will direct you to the VIP parking area.

TEAM ENTRY & REGISTRATION

Q. How much is it to enter the competition?
A. £180 per team (squad of 14 including 2 coaching staff)

Q. How do I enter a team?
A. Click on the sport you want to play at the top of the website and then click on the enter a team link.

Q. How do I know what competition to enter?
A. Please call the office on 01202 545630 and our team can advise you on what competition is the right standard for your team.

Q. When will the tournament start?
A. 10am on Saturday 29th May 2010.

Q. Can I get a refund if my team can no longer play?
A. Yes- you can get a full refund up until the 1st of January 2010. After this date we are unable to give refunds for your team entry.

Q. I'm playing in the festival, when will my team receive their tickets?
A. Your tickets will be sent to the team captain by recorded delivery 2 weeks before the festival. Without these tickets you can't enter the arena.

Q. What time does my team register?
A. You must register your team between 7.30- 9pm Fri 28th or 7.30- 9am Sat 29th. If you team is not registered by 9am a reserve team will take your place .

Q. I'm only playing in the Sunday competition, when should my team register?
A.You can register for the Sunday competition on either:
    * Fri 28th: 7.30pm -9pm
    * Sat 29th: 7.30am - 9am
    * Sun 30th: 8am - 9am

ONSITE FACILITIES

Q. Will there be food and catering on site?
A. Yes. Our high quality catering units will be returning in 2010 with favourites Pie and Mash, Salsa Burger, Fish & Chips, Hog Roast, Chicken and Gourmet wraps and Ice Cream. There will also be more healthy food options such as Jacket Potatoes and baguettes in 2010. We have the best Boutique caterers who do V Festival, Glastonbury, Bestival and Reading festival.

Q. Is there a cash machine at the festival?

A. Yes, there are 2 cash machines that you can use 24 hours a day

Q. Is drinking water available?
A. Taps for water are available by the sports club.

Q. Are there bars on site?
A. Bars are located in the beer tent and VIP/ V.VIP marquee (VIP wristband required). If you appear to be under the age of 21 you will be asked for ID. There will also be a licensed bar in the camping village for Friday's Opening Party.

Q. Will there be toilets at the festival?
A. 2010's festival will have even more toilets available both on the campsite and in the main arena. Have a look on the site map to locate them.

TEAM CAPTAIN INFO

Q. What time is registration?
A. All players to register Friday 7.30pm - 9pm or Saturday 7.30am-9am (Late for registration could mean a reserve team takes your place)

Q. How do I register my team on the weekend?
A. All team captains/ managers must hand in a player registration form with your 12 players and management team on

Q. What time will my competition start?
A. Kick offs for every competition will be at 10am on both Saturday and Sunday

Q. When will I receive the playing schedule?
A. All captains will receive a tournament schedule in the festival programme when they register their team

Q. What time will my first game be?
A. All teams will play at least one game before midday.


Other info: Captains must toss at refs caravan 10 mins before kick off (if late you lose the game)

FANCY DRESS

Q. What are the fancy dress themes for 2010?
A. Saturday night is 'Anything Goes' and Sunday is Skool Disco V 80s

Q. Will I look out of place if I don't dress up?
A. Absolutely- everyone will be in fancy dress and people will heckle you if you're not dressed up!

OTHER FAQ

Q. Are dogs allowed on site?

A. NO - due to health & safety requirements enforced by the Sports Club.

Q. Can I wear fancy dress & what are the themes for Saturday and Sunday?
A. Yes fancy dress is a big part of the weekend's fun. The theme on Saturday is "Anything Goes" and Sunday is Skool Disco V 80s.

Q. How can we get on TV?
A. The more crazy the fancy dress the more likely you will be caught on camera!

Q. Can I bring alcohol into the arena?
A. NO! Bags will be checked on entry into the arena, only alcohol that is purchased in the arena, can be consumed. Anyone caught drinking their own alcohol will be asked to leave and have their wristband taken away.

Q. Is there WiFi connection at the festival?
A. Yes-there will be WiFi connection at the festival so you can connect to the internet on your phones.

Q. What do I do if I lose something at the festival?
A. There is a lost property box located at the information point- which is open from 10am- 6pm every day.

Q. How is Bournemouth Sevens trying to be a 'green' festival?
A. We use biodegradable cups and ensure all of our litter is recycled properly. The team also encourage people to take away all of their tents and rubbish to reduce the amount of litter at the festival. We are trying to do our little bit to save the planet!
