Parachute Display

One of the undoubted highlights of the Bournemouth Sevens Festival is the Black Knights Parachute Display Team who jump onto the National Cup Pitch in the main festival arena twice over the weekend. The first jump takes place on Saturday afternoon whilst Sunday evening sees the team performing an incredible night dive which combines their unique performance style with stunning visual effects. 

The eight members of the team are all regular serving soldiers on loan from one of the 15 Regiments within the Royal Regiment of Artillery and most have served on active operations from Afghanistan to Northern Ireland. The team also have a number of part time members who continue with Regimental duties within their parent units, and are called upon on a regular basis to take part in the teams' displays.
